Miss Frances Brotherlin, aged 91 years, teacher in the LeClaire, Iowa, schools in the pioneer days, died in the Mrs. Thomas Spear home in Tipton, Tuesday evening at 9:00 p.m. Miss Brotherlin had suffered a brief illness, infirmities of old age, being the cause of her death.

Miss Brotherlin and her sister, Miss Helen had lived in the old Brotherlin home at LeClaire but in recent years had spent their winters with their brother, H. L. Brotherlin, in Tipton. He passed away last winter and they had spent a few months in the Thomas Spear home here. Miss Brotherlin was born in 1841. Her sister Helen is the last member of the family, who had resided at LeClaire for more than sixty years. Their parents, Moses and Eliza Brotherlin, came to Iowa from Ohio when their daughters were children. Miss Frances attended the LeClaire schools and after graduation taught school.

Funeral services will be held at the home in LeClaire, Iowa, Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Burial will be made in the family lot in the Glendale cemetery.
