Funeral services for Mary Eda Fry were conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3 at the United Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville. The Rev. James E. Adyelotte officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. E.H. Littig was the organist and Mrs. Floyd Siver the vocalist. Pallbearers were William Boots, John Sauer, Don Davidson, Don Overbaugh, Robert Beck and Duane Jurgensen.

Mrs. Fry died Nov. 30 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids. Born Aug. 24, 1884, to Cathens F. and Margaret Jane Ellison Platner, she married John Fry on Jan. 28, 1914. The Frys farmed near Mechanicsville and moved to town in 1941.

She was a member of the Priscilla class of the Presbyterian church and of the church circles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. Surviving are a nephew, several nieces and cousins.
