Last rites for Mrs. Burr (Helen) Aylsworth, 78, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Sept. 24 with the Rev. Aldreth Weigle officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery at Davenport.
Pallbearers were Gerald Jones, John Cain, Keith Paulsen and Claud Harshbarger. Mrs. Ed Speer was organist and Mrs. Ruth Swift, vocalist.
Mrs. Alysworth died at the Clarence Nursing home Sept. 21, following an extended illness.
The daughter of Robert and Ella Duncan McCarty, she was born at Roodhouse, Ill. Aug. 2, 1895 and was educated in the Kirkwood, Mo. schools. She was married to Burr Aylsworth at Stanwood Aug. 15, 1967.
She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Peggy Cox, Nehalem, Oreg., and Mrs. Eleanor Woods, Akron, Ohio; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Barlow, Jacksonville, Ill., and 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Barbara Paulsen, Stanwood and Mrs. Dorothy Harshbarger, Davenport.
She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
