Graveside rites were conducted for Bruce Schick, 77, Stanwood, at 11 a.m. Aug. 20 by the Rev. Calvin Schumacher. Military rites were conducted by Hegarty-Busching Legion Post. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery. He died Aug. 17 at Veterans hospital, Iowa City.

Schick was born Dec. 19, 1896, at Stanwood the son of Alvin and Maggie Strieby Schick. He was married to Lillian Mayer in 1919 at Williamsport, Pa. Schick was a veteran of World War I, a member of Hegarty-Busching Post and was a retired railroad employee.

Survivors included 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lula) Wolfe, Montorsville, Pa., and Mrs. Charles (Ernestine) Birch, Muncy, Pa., and 2 grandchildren.
