Last rites for Ronald E. Collison, 38, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Jan. 12 with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Geary, Gerald Klauer, Marvin Williams, Mike Steffens, Lowell Salyars and Curtis Chapman. Wayne Chapman and Harlan Dugger were honorary pallbearers. Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Clevenger were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Collison died at his home southwest of Tipton Jan. 9 following a heart attack.

A son of Foster R. and Margarite Gregory Collison, he was born July 2, 1934 at Atalissa. The family lived in West Liberty until 1949 when they moved to Tipton.

Mr. Collison was a 1952 graduate of the Tipton high school. He married Joyce L. Zahner Aug. 11, 1957 at Bennett. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 730 at Tipton.

A former employee of Bendix Co. in Davenport, he farmed and was employed as a Cedar county road maintenance worker.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Joyce Collison; 2 sons and 2 daughters, Dennis, Dustin, Dixie and Debra, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Margarite Collison, Tipton, and a brother, Kenneth, Denver.

He was preceded in death by his father.
