Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Elaine Cathryn Mulherin, 15, were held at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 9, in St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. P. J. Casey offered the Mass. Genieve Ullrich was organist and St. Mary's choir sang.

Barry Spear, Robert Mulherin, Richard DeWulf and Donald Mulherin were pallbearers. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Horner Funeral services in charge.

Elaine Cathryn was born Aug. 15, 1957, in Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mulherin. She was an invalid and spent her life at home with her parents, brothers and sisters. She died at her home, Jan. 7.

Miss Mulherin is survived by her parents, Charles and Verna; brothers, Donald, Cedar Rapids, and Robert, Bettendorf; sisters, Mrs. Barry (Maureen) Spear, Ottumwa; Mrs. Richard (Genny) DeWulf, Clarence; Pat, Cedar Rapids; and Jean and Barbara, at home.

Her grandparents preceded her in death.
