John Wieske was born on Sept. 15, 1851, at Wolsko near Friedheim, Polsen, Germany. He died after a lingering sickness on June 13th, 1911, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ohlrogge, three miles south of Lowden, at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 29 days.

On April 19, 1874, Mr. Wieske was united in wedlock to Miss Wilhelmine Ruchotzke in the Evangelical church at Brustowo, Posen. They came to America in 1893 and have since resided here and near Tipton.

There survive to mourn Mr. Wieseke's demise his sorrowing widow, four daughters, two sons, twelve grand children and many other near relatives and a great many friends. His funeral will be held this afternoon with services in the Evangelical church at Lowden and interment in the Van Horn cemetery.
