The sudden death of Mrs. Frank Witmer on Wednesday morning was a shock to the many friends and acquaintances in Tipton community. She had looked forward with much anticipation to the arrival of relatives that afternoon.

Lorena Witmer was born in the year 1870, and was 81 years, five months and 3 days of age at the time of her passing. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Abbott, and was born near Wilton Junction, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. S. F. Witmer, one sister Mrs. Orianna Abbott Roth of Winterhaven, Florida; also one step-son Clarence Witmer of Glendale, California, and one step-daughter Mrs. Hazel Speakman of Phoenix, Arizona.

The body is at Sheets Funeral Home, Tipton. Funeral arrangements are pending, awaiting the arrival of relatives. Tentative plans for the services have been made for Saturday afternoon. The Sheets Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
