Stanwood - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the United Presbyterian church for William Overholt, who died Monday, March 9 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Rev. James Elvig was in charge of the service with burial in St. John's cemetery, Clarence. Mrs. Ed Davidson was organist. Mrs. Gerald Hartog and Mrs. L. W. Meyer were in charge of the flowers.

Mr. Overholt was born on Oct. 10, 1874 in Ohio. Jan. 11, 1899 he was united in marriage to Susie Miller at Germano, Ohio. For many years they farmed near Van Metre, finally moving to Stanwood, where they made their home with their daughter, Wilma, and her husband.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Wilma) Meyer of near Stanwood; and Frances of Carnegie Hall, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Wayne (Martha) Geadelmann of Grinnell; and one great granddaughter.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Meyer, Darrell Dircks, James Smith, Ralph Brendes and Fred Lawson.
