Mrs. Caroline Schlueter was born April 18, 1951, in Estorf, Hanover, Germany. She was united in marriage to Henry Schlueter in 1871 and this union was blessed with ten children, seven sons and three daughters. In 1889 with their family they immigrated to this country and settled near Lowden where they made their home for a number of years. On September 16th, 1905, her husband preceded her to the grave, also four sons and two daughters passing away before her death.

Mrs. Schlueter was stricken with apoplexy last week Thursday and after a few days of sickness she passed away on Saturday last at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 1 day. She leaves to mourn three sons, Louis and Dick of near Lowden and William C. now serving in the army "Somewhere in France"; one daughter, Mrs. Herman Steinke, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Schlueter has lived a noble life and was quite contented in the closing years of her sojourn on earth in her home which of late has been with her children. Besides her children she leaves many friends who mourn her demise.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. H. Brammer. Burial took place in the Massillon township cemetery.

Those who acted as pallbearers were Howard Rogers, Rudolph Siebel, Henry Wiebke, Rudolph Brauer, Henry Wiebel and C. E. Kroemer.
