Henry Rekemeyer, 62, New Liberty farmer, died in Mercy hospital, Davenport, at 10:20 p.m. Friday following an operation.

The body was taken to the Sheets funeral home in Tipton where funeral services were conducted Nov. 17, 1952, with Pastor Raymond Tiemeyer officiating and burial in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

Mr. Rekemeyer was born February 7, 1890, in Bennett. He was educated in schools of the Bennett area. He married Matie Petersen February 7, 1917, in Davenport. The couple first farmed in the Bennett community and then moved to a farm at New Liberty, where they were living at the time of his death.

Surviving besides the widow are two brothers, George of Tipton, and Fred of Bennett; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Williams of Tipton and Mrs. Eda Geadelmann of Clarence; and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded him in death.
