Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 13, for Mrs. Mary L. Reeder, at the Miller funeral home in Vinton. Rev. Edgar E. Walker Jr. officiated. Graveside services and interment were in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville. Pallbearers were sons-in-law L. W. Koontz and George L. Paul, and nephews, Forrest Moffit, Cecil Smay, Maurice Moffit and Le Oral Evans.

Mrs. Mary L. Reeder was the daughter of Alexander and Martha Poteet Moffit. She was born on May 29, 1876, near Mechanicsville, Cedar county, Iowa, and passed away Sept. 13, 1951, at Vinton, Iowa, which place had been her home for a number of years.

Her survivors are three daughters, Mrs. L. W. Koontz of Vinton, Mrs. George L. Paul, of Brooklyn, and Miss Mary Reeder of Ames; 2 grandsons, sons of Mrs. Koontz; one sister, Mrs. Martha Stookey of Mechanicsville, a number of nieces and nephews.
