Agnes Rickard, daughter of the late Richard Dard Rosanna Moon was born in Cedar county, Iowa July 23, 1879, and passed away in Tipton, November 26, 1948, being 69 years, 4 months and 3 days of age.

On October 25, 1898, she was united in marriage with Descome Rickard, and to this union was born one daughter, Pauline. She had lived in this community her entire life and only for the past few months had been living with her daughter in Chicago, and at the time of her passing, was on a visit with old friends. She was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian church, the Women's Relief Corps, Royal Neighbors of America and the Rebekah lodge.

She leaves to mourn her loss, a daughter Pauline, five sisters, Mrs. Emma J. Cousins and Mrs. Blanche Butler, of Chicago, Mrs. Etta Stweges and Mrs. Dave Allen, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Lola Wettsbein, of Orlando, Fla.; and one brother, C. H. Moon, of Los Angeles, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Her husband, a brother and a great granddaughter have preceded her in death. The funeral services were held at the Sheets funeral home in Tipton, at 2 p.m. Monday, November 29. Rev. C. W. Cleveland officiated, with burial at Red Oak cemetery.
