Mechanicsville - Funeral services were held in the Horner Funeral Home Monday June 14 at 10 a.m. for Chester T. Hockaday, 62, with Rev. P. J. Casey officiating.

Mr. Hockaday died at his home unexpectedly June 8.

Chester T. Hockaday was born the son of John and Ella Hockaday at Verndale, Minn. on Jan. 8, 1903. He was married to Margaurite Farmer on June 4, 1929, at Strawberry Point. The Hockadays farmed for a number of years in the Greeley community.

The Hockadays retired from farming and operated a business in Mechanicsville for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife in February of 1963.

Survivors include Thomas M. Hockaday, Casper, Wyo. and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Bickford, Des Moines, four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Harold Norviel, Phillips, Wis.

Pallbearers were Lavern Weber, Clifford Brown, Albert Biedenbach, Lowell Dauber, Francis Miller and Walt Wendell.

Mr. Hockaday was buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Greeley, with Rev. L. F. White, officiating.
