Funeral services for Henry Raymond Lichlyter, 58, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Schenk officiating. Pallbearers were Kermit Spencer, Dave Henderson, Donald Challis, Harry Spear, Eugene Seitz and Donald Hegarty.

Mrs. Richard Palmer was vocalist and Mrs. Max Phelps organist. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Agne and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Anderson were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mr. Lichlyter died Jan. 15 at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids following a lingering illness.

The son of William and Lorreta Moore Lichlyter, he was born Sept. 21, 1907 in Louisville, Ky. and was educated in the rural schools of Vermillion county, Ill. He was married to Julia Lois Zerbe near Tipton Dec. 14, 1934. He was a member of the Roseville, Ill. Baptist church.

A painter by trade he had lived in the Tipton community for 35 years. He also farmed near Red Oak.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Byron (Marie) Thumm, Tipton and Mable, at home; his mother, Mrs. Lorreta Lichlyter, Danville, Ill.; 2 brothers, John, Lancaster, Ohio and Arthur, Pinkney, Mich.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Don (Louise) Conner, Danville, Ill.; Mrs. Russell (Marietta) Osborn, Broubonnais, Ill. and Mrs. Everett (Thelma) Morefield, Kankakee, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
