Funeral services for Paul Hipshur, 67, Clarence, were held at 10:00 a.m., Oct. 1 at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery, Clarence. Hipshur was born June 23, 1909 at Avoca, the son of Alonzo and Anna Hein Hipshur. He spent the past 12 years in veterans' hospitals and died at the Veterans' Administration hospital, Omaha, Nebr., Sept. 27.
Survivors are sisters, Bertha McNeely, Shelbyville, Ind., and Elizabeth Bixler, Clarence; brothers, Albert, Dexter, Mo., and Herman, Joliet, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
