Mechanicsville - Funeral services will be held in the Anamosa Methodist church this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. for Ernest Tonne, 68.

Mr. Tonne, a former resident of this community, died in the Anamosa Community hospital, May 29. Mr. and Mrs. Tonne farmed for many years north of Mechanicsville before retiring and moving to Anamosa.

He is survived by his wife, Hylah, a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tonne, Anamosa, grandsons, Mearl and Lyle, a granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry Lamont and a great-grandson.
