Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 4, at Trinity Methodist church in Cedar Rapids for Wayne Eberle, Dr. H. M. Grant officiating.

Mr. Eberle was born Dec. 9, 1920, at Milan, Ill., and passed away May 28, 1952, at the Veterans hospital, at Tucson, Ariz.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Eberle of Cedar Rapids, where he spent part of his life. On Oct. 10, 1942, he was united in marriage with Marjorie Fisher, of Stanwood, at Kahoka, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II, having entered the service in November, 1942. Much of his 42 months of service was spent overseas. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist church and the American Legion.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Marjorie, three daughters, Janet Kaye, Judith Ann, Jaquelyn Sue, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Eberle, three sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Young of Mechanicsville, Mrs. Genevieve Cummings of Chicago and Mrs. Betty Matheny of Cedar Rapids, a brother Harold in the U.S. navy and a grandfather, Fred Webenna of Wyoming. Two brothers have preceded him in death.

Mr. Eberle had been in ill health for a number of years. For the past nine months the family has lived in Temple, Ariz., where they had gone for his health.

Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery with military services conducted at the grave by the Stanwood Post.
