Services for Mrs. Floyd (Gladys Pauline) Aikman, 59, Tipton, were held Nov. 4 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with burial in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. The Rev. Eugene Miller officiated.

Pallbearers were Fred Sanders, Tom and Charles Hajek, Harold Turner, John Albaugh and James Liercke. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weaver were in charge of flowers and Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mrs. Aikman died Nov. 1 at University hospitals, Iowa City, following a long illness and recent neuro-surgery.

The daughter of Claude and Sadie Wooder Sweet, she was born Dec. 9, 1907, at Hale and was educated in the schools at Gray. She was married to Floyd Aikman at Gray Sept. 19, 1927. She had lived in Tipton for 23 years.

She was a member of the Tipton Methodist church.

Mrs. Aikman is survived by her husband, 5 sons, Floyd Jr., with the army at Lakewood, N.J.; Robert, Marion; Roy, Bellmar, N.J.; Merle, Tipton and Larry, with the navy at Norfolk, Va.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marquerite) Campbell, Casa Grande, Ariz. and Sharon, Tipton.

Also 3 brothers, Kenneth, Olin; Leonard, San Francisco, Calif.; and George Wooder, Morley and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Leola) Ahrendsen, Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents.
