Funeral services for Eldora Koppenhaver, 66, were held in the First Presbyterian church, Mechanicsville, Dec. 9. The Rev. William Wills officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Pallbearers were James Miller, Albert G. Fisher, Melvin Baker, Lee Scott, Edward Crock and Don Biedenbach. Mrs. Leroy Wendt was solist and Mrs. E. H. Littig, organist.

Miss Koppenhaver died unexpectedly in Cedar Rapids Dec. 5. She was shopping with her sister and a friend when she collapsed. She was rushed to Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids, but never regained consciousness.

The daughter of Charles T. and Mary E. Koppenhaver, she was born on a farm north of Mechanicsville Oct. 26, 1902 and was educated in the Mechanicsville schools.

She taught school for more than 20 years. She was employed at Lee's Grocery in Mechanicsville at the time of her death.

She attended the Presbyterian church, was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grand.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles (Esther) Starry and Mrs. Charles (Elsie) Nie, Mechanicsville and 2 brothers, Emmerson, Cedar Rapids and Everett, Martelle and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ellis, Earl, Edson and Estel.
