Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Deichmann, 68, were held Oct. 23 at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, with the Rev. Arthur Tinge officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Mrs. Deichmann died Oct. 20 at University hospitals, Iowa City.

Amanda, daughter of Peter and Augusta Wulf Eriksen, was born in Durant Dec. 10, 1899 and received her education in the Durant schools and Iowa State Teachers college. She taught in the Sunbury and Lowden schools before her marriage to Carl Deichmann of Lowden in June, 1927.

She was a member of Garland chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Wheatland, the Legion Auxiliary and the N.G.O. Study club. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and its Women's Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Dick, Downers Grove, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Louise) Crock, Clarence; 6 grandchildren; a brother, James Eriksen, Tacoma, Wash.; 2 sisters, Ida Eriksen, Davenport and Mrs. Hugo (Emma) Steffens, Tipton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Peter, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
