Final rites for Mrs. Jesse (Leona B.) Kohl, 85, were held at Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, March 18, 1989 with the Rev. Gary Ruckman officiating. Burial was in Shawver cemetery, Cedar Bluff. Pallbearers were Jim Licht, David Semotan, Michael, Gary, Jack and Dean Moel. Honorary bearers were Michael Licht, Paul Sailor, Jon Meade, Matt Jenks and Michael Semotan. The men's chorus and the congregation sang. Margery Wiebel was organist.

Mrs. Kohl died at Cedar Manor March 15.

The daughter of John and Minnie Howard Sailor, she was born at Cedar Bluff Sept. 5, 1903. She was educated in the rural Cedar county schools. She married Jesse Kohl May 19, 1934. He died in 1984.

A resident of Cedar county all her life, she lived in West Branch and near Lowden before moving to Cedar Bluff in 1983. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden and the Ladies Aid of the church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Meade, Oldsmar, Fla. and Mrs. Michael (Mary Ellen) Pentland, Lowden; a son, Roger Semotan, West Branch; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 2 sisters and a brother.
