Funeral services for Raymond William (Ray) Muesing, 58, formerly of Cedar county, were held at Crossville, Tenn. Sept. 23 with Richard England and Raymond Johnson officiating. Burial was in Woody cemetery, Crossville.

Mr. Muesing died at his home in La Vergne, Tenn. Sept. 21.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Steve, Jeff, Michael, Shane and James Ray Welch, Scott Hendrix, Craig Rossley, John Wayne Brimm, Gerald Morgan, Scott Howard and Randall Green. Carolyn and Jackie Schubert sang.

The son of Chris H. and Emma Ebert Muesing, he was born in Cedar county Dec. 11, 1928. He attended rural county schools and graduated from Tipton high school in 1946. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.

He was married to Lois Welch in January, 1968. He is survived by his wife, Lois; 2 stepdaughters, Sheila Brimm and Virginia Hendrix; 6 stepsons, James, Gerry, Sammy, Gaines, Grady and Ernie Welch; 20 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, all of Tennessee; 2 brothers, Marvin and Harold Muesing, Clarence and 5 sisters, Bernita Biere, Lowden; Eleanor Schroeder, Delores Ruther, Joan Meyer and Janice Resewehr, Clarence. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter; a niece and a nephew.
