Last rites for Hulda Lillian Nieting, 87, were held at Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, Nov. 8 with the Rev. Gary Ruckmann officiating. Burial was in Trinity cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Stolte, Don Lange, Steve Bowstead, Don Meier and Everett and Delbert Kruckenberg. Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier was organist and the men's choir sang.

Miss Neiting died at the Jackson County hospital, Maquoketa Nov. 5.

The daughter of August and Wilhelmina Hinrichs Nieting, she was born at Lowden Oct. 10, 1901. She attended Trinity Lutheran school and graduated from Lowden high school. She operated an arts and crafts shop for many years. She was a member of Trinity church.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Anne Nieting, Lowden and Clara Nieting, Rock Island, Ill. and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
