Mrs. Henry Garloff (nee) Emma Marie Iserhott, was born in Rehna Mechlenburg Schwerin, Germany on October 14, 1881, and departed this life in Lake Park, Iowa on November 3, 1950, at the age of 69 years and 19 days.

She came to America when only one year of age with her parents, the late Joachim and Elizabeth Gehrls Iserhott. They settled in the Lowden community but her parents both died while she was quite young and she was reared in the Henry Dettmann home. On February 13, 1900, she was united in marriage to Mr. Henry Garloff, by the Rev. J. Hermann of St. John's church in Clarence. They lived in the Clarence community until 1928 when they moved to Lake Park, Iowa. Here, her husband departed this life in 1935. Two children Velma and August also preceded their mother in death.

She leaves to mourn her departure 5 sons, John of Round Lake, Minnesota; Herman, Irwin, Arnold and Harry of Lake Park, Iowa; 3 daughters, Norma and Leona of Lake Park and Evelyn of Boise, Idaho; 8 grandchildren; and one brother William Iserhott of Muscatine.

Funeral services were held from the Chapman Funeral Home and St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church with Rev. F. J. Mittler officiating. Interment was made in Van Horne cemetery south of Lowden, Iowa.

Pallbearers were: John Dettmann, John Pfettscher, John Burmeister, Wilbur Juehring, Otto Behrend and Henry Dettmann.
