Mary Ellen Gauger, widow of William Gauger, 1400 Second avenue SE, and a Cedar Rapids resident for 40 years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, January 14th, following a long illness. Mrs. Gauger was born August 23, 1876, at Clarence.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. W. H. McLaughlin, and a grand-daughter, both of Chicago.
Mrs. Gauger was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 16th, 1951, at the Turner chapel in Cedar Rapids at 11 a.m. with Dr. Andrew E. Kurth officiating. Burial was made in the Clarence cemetery.
