Mrs Albert Martens, 69, died Tuesday, November 19 in St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 22, at 10:30 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran church. The Rev Earl Elowsky officiated. Mrs Lorenz Hoffmeier was organist and the men's choir sang. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Raymond Kroemer, Erhard Kroemer, Norman Kroemer, Melvin Schaefer, Leroy Clausen, Edwin Wenndt.

She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran church and a member of Trinity Ladies Aid.

She was born Feb. 17, 1905 in Massillon township the daughter of Otto and Wilhelmine Dorgeloh Kroemer. She married Albert Martens June 19, 1931 at Stanwood. They farmed near Lowden.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Alberta and a son Le Roy, both at home; four brothers, Arnold of Lowden; Wilfred of Clarence; Herold of Cedar Rapids and Elmer of Seaside, Calif.; also a sister Mildred Kroemer of Clarence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
