Otto John Kreinbring, son of Louis Kreinbring and his wife, Anna (nee) Klatt, was born north of Clarence, Iowa, on November 20, 1903. He was baptized on January 3, 1904 by the Rev. Schulmeisterat and on March 24, 1918, he was confirmed in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church by the Rev. K. Fauth.

When Otto was one year old his parents moved to the farm where they now reside, and this has always been his home.

For the past nineteen years he has been employed as section man on the Chicago & North Western railroad.

It was while on his way to Tipton Saturday evening that he met with an accident, resulting in his death.

He was taken to St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids where his condition was immediately reported as serious and, though all possible aid was given, death came to relieve him of his suffering on Sunday evening, May 16.

At the time of his death he had attained the age of 39 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Surviving his untimely death are his grief stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kreinbring; four brothers, William of Lowden; John of Clarence; Arnold and Walter at home. Also two nephews and one niece, and his aged grandmother, Mrs. John Klatt Sr., besides numerous other more distant relatives.

Funeral services were held from the Louis Kreinbring residence and St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church with interment in the Clarence cemetery. Rev. F. J. Mittler was the officiating minister. Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Ernest Wulff, Mrs. Elmore Ruther, Mrs. Frederick Decker. The pallbearers were Thomas Clemmens, Henry Feddersen, Herbert Behrend, Samuel Thumma, Richard Kintzel and Ed. Meyer.
