Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Zion United Church of Christ for Homer Fisher, 82. The Rev. Paul Jordan officiated. Burial was in Van Horne cemetery. Susan Griesbach was organist and hymns were sung by the Muhs brothers quartet.
Pallbearers were Harley, David and Robert Fisher, Albert Finch, Wesley Miller and Sidney Boots. Mrs Charles Johnson and Mrs Boots were in charge of flowers.
Mr Fisher died Thursday in Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton where he had been a patient for 1 1/2 years.
The deceased was born January 31, 1889 to James Fisher and his wife, Annie, nee Hegarty. In 1912, he was married to Caroline Dircks in Tipton. He farmed southwest of Lowden for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Arnold (Kathleen) Miller of Clarence; three sons, Arthur and Howard of Lowden and Milo of La Jolla, Calif.; also 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
