Last rites were held Monday in Trinity Lutheran church here for Mrs Luisa Fullriede, 83, who died early Saturday in her home here. She had been in failing health after suffering a severe stroke several weeks ago.
A brief prayer service in the home preceded the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Th. J. Eickelberg officiated. Music was supplied by Trinity Male Chorus with Mrs Lorenz Hoffmeier presiding at the organ. Pallbearers were Walter Klipp, Fred Pieper, Ralph Gade, George Scheeper, Fred Otte, and George Miller. Mrs Henry Otte and Mrs Fred Otte were in charge of flowers. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs Luisa Christine Amelia Fullriede was the daughter of Henry Kroemer and his wife, Christine Taegmaier. She was born in Loh, Germany, on Jan. 12, 1879, and received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at Vindheim there on Jan. 26, 1879. Following her elementary education, she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 26, 1893.
As a young lady of 17 years, she became the bride of Henry Fullriede on Jan. 22, 1896, and lived with him in holy matrimony for 61 years. Three children were born to them, two sons in Germany, and a daughter in this country.
In 1904 she emigrated with her family to this country, and lived in Lowden for five years. The family thereupon operated a farm about a mile south of Lowden, until acquiring their own farm two miles south of here. They retired to Lowden 17 years ago.
Throughout her life here Mrs Fullriede held membership in Trinity Lutheran church and was also a member of Trinity Ladies Aid and Sewing Circle.
She is survived by her two sons, Henry of Bennett, and Fred of Lowden; her daughter, Mrs Herman Wiese of Lowden; 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
