P Christian Fredericksen Male 20 Dec 1830 Hverrekjer, Kobenhavn Kobenhavn Denmark.
We found a Peter L (I) Petersen in 1900 Census Minden Township Minden town Pottawattamie Co, list4ed as boarder W M Dec 1868 31 Single b denmark, m b denmark, f b Denmark Citizenship 1883 17 yrs Daylaborer. The family History & Genealogy Center at The Danish Immigrant Museum put their heads together on the people from the 1885 census , looked at emigration records, and found nothing definitive.. Their assessment of the 1885 record is that Johanne is the eldest of what looks like 5 Petersen siblings, the last born in DK ca 1874(with your b d of 31 Aug 1876 for Sine and Frits. Didi they come after 1876?
1. an 1881 emigration record for a Johanne Petersen, 17, servant, going from Als (an island in Sønderborg Co.) to Atlantic (date of contract registration: Jan 15, 1881. On the same contract as her, however, is only a 4 1/2 year old child, Peter NIELSEN, so wether this is the same Johanne is questionable. She could I suppose, have been bringing the child over to its parents.
2. in the 1900 census there's a 31 year old Peter L Peterson/sen living in Minden, Minden twp in Pott Co. hes a single day laborer, boarding with a family. He came over from Denmark in 1883 and was naturalized.
Since the family was living at the bottom of Washington twp (sec 32) in 1885, there's a possibility that they migrated over to Pottawattamie co. You could possibly pass the information to the Walnut Gen Soc, just in case.
I will check some other census and see what we come up with, but doesn't look like any good help for you. Perhaps go back to Denmark emigration??
