I did a quick search and found him buried in the Waveland Cemetery in Pottawatamie County, Iowa with the dates on his gravestone of 1869 - 1942. Further research located him as "Claude Clifford Ryder" and "Claudius Clifford Ryder"; He was born in Johnson County, Missouri and graduated from Stanford University [California] according to a newspaper clipping in 1931 at the time of his wife's death. In 1895 he went to Hawaii and worked as a physician there. He was a graduate of Cooper Medical College in San Francisco in 1892.

He is enumerated in the 1870 Monegaw, St. Clair County, Missouri Census with his father, W. W. Ryder, 33; mother Rebecca, age 32 and brother Albert, age 7, born in Iowa. In 1880, he is enumerated only with his father W. W. Ryder in Sacramento, California.

His parents supposedly are Wilbert W. and Rebecca [Hall] Ryder.
