Tony Dvorak passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, at the Alegent Creighton Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was married to his second wife Mary Pat Gregerson-Dvorak (of Massena, Iowa) on Oct 31, 1997, who he is survived by along with her two children Bill and Rosa Gregerson and Mary Elizabeth Gregerson (both of Omaha, Nebraska). He is also survived by his brothers Dr. Allen and Carol Dvorak and Dr. Marvin and Lynette Dvorak (both of Omaha, Nebraska), his first wife Patricia Ann Kaminski-Dvorak (of Atlantic, Iowa), their twelve children, Carl Dvorak (of Houston, Texas), Joe and Julie Dvorak (of Dakota City, Iowa), Tom and Kim Dvorak (of Lubbock, Texas), John and Chris Dvorak (of Atlantic, Iowa), Ann Dvorak (of Omaha, Nebraska), Mary Dvorak (of Omaha, Nebraska), George and Dawn Dvorak (of Atlantic, Iowa), Mike Dvorak (of Beaver Lake, Nebraska), Theresa and Keith Dai (of Omaha, Nebraska), Sarah and Brian Hoburg (of Omaha, Nebraska), Charlie and Glenda Dvorak (of Ames, Iowa), and Dorothy and Chris Stallworth (of Omaha, Nebraska). Tony is also survived by his 29 grandchildren, Joshua Gregerson, Alec Gregerson, Alisha Dvorak, April Dvorak, Kevin Dvorak, Emily Quinn, Anthony Dvorak, Elizabeth Short, Patrick Dvorak, Robert Dvorak, Amber Dvorak, Joshua Dvorak, Alex Dvorak, Morgan Dvorak, Jake Dvorak, Nick Dvorak, Nolan Dvorak, Natalie Dvorak, Sarah Dai, Megan Dai, Patrick Hoburg, Michael Hoburg, Joslynn Hoburg, Jaclynn Hoburg, Cody Dvorak, Alexis Dvorak, Caleb Stallworth, Elijah Stallworth, Christopher Stallworth and 6 great grandchildren Hayden Dvorak, Braydon Dvorak, Aliva Dvorak, Emma Dvorak, Angel Dvorak, Emalym Dvorak, and Evianna Dvorak.
Tony grew up in Howells, Nebraska the son of Mildred and Rudolph Dvorak. He went to college in Omaha, Nebraska at Creighton University and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. He also met his first wife while in college and shortly after graduation they moved to Atlantic, Iowa. They were married for 30 years and raised 12 children. Tony farmed , owned a pharmacy, and was active in the Catholic Church, local politics and the business community where he developed many close relationships and friendships. He met his second wife later in life and they resided in Massena, Iowa and enjoyed traveling the world during their retirement years. Donations are being accepted in his name at the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
Memorial Mass: Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patick’s Catholic Church in Massena. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Massena.
Open Visitation: Will be Held on Friday Sept. 7th at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
Rosary Service: Will be held on Friday at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials: To the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
