Obituary.

Died—At her home in Atlantic, Cass county, Iowa, on Sabbath morning, July 4, 1886, Mrs. Rebecca J. Prall, wife of Thaddeus Prall, aged 58 years, 11 months and 9 days. She was born in Clark county, Indiana, July 25, 1827; married to Mr. Thaddeus Prall December 27, 1849. She has been a resident of Cass county nearly 17 years. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss, one son preceding her a little over ten years ago. She had been a great sufferer for about a year, especially the last four months, yet her sweet patience and submission to God’s will leaves us without a doubt that she is at rest with her Savior whom she has served a good many years. She was converted and united with the M. E. church when she was a girl. She leaves many relatives and near and dear friends behind, yet we feel that she is sweetly sleeping in Jesus.

Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep,
From which none ever wake to weep;
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the last of foes.

Asleep in Jesus, peaceful rest,
Whose waking is supremely blest;
No fears, no woes shall dim that hour,
Which manifests the Savior’s power.

Asleep in Jesus, far from thee,
Thy kindred and their graves may be;
But thine is still a blessed sleep,
From which none ever wake to weep.
