Harold L. Karwal, 83, died Monday morning at Jennie Edmundson hospital in Council Bluffs. He was born Nov. 20, 1914 in Cass County, the only child of Joseph and Maria Karwal. He was married May 25, 1934 to Mary Elizabeth Miller.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, two sons; Joe and wife, Norma, of Yuba City, Calif., Bill and wife, Donna of Atlantic; seven grandchildren; Debra, Mark, Craig, Kathleen, Matthew, Tim, and Chris, as well as 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Isabel Murry of Wilson Creek, Wa.
The family will meet with friends and relatives at the Elks Lodge in Atlantic on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service and lunch. The family requests a memorial for the American Lung Association.
