Edwin F. Harris, Resident of County Since 1856, Dies At Home of Brother Last Night.
Edwin F. Harris, a resident of Cass county since 1856, died at 10:30 last evening at the home of his brother, T. M. Harris, on South Olive street. Death was the result of complications from the grippe which affected his heart.
Born in Indiana.
Deceased was born in Randolph county, Ind., on the 26th of September, 1854, and was the son of Wesley and Sarah (Fox) Harris. He came to Cass county when an infant and had lived here since. He was engaged during most of his life as a farmer and was never married. He was a member of the A. O. U. W. order and the M. E. church. Two brothers, T. M. Harris, at whose home he died, and Chas. Harris of this city, survive him. E. E. Harris, north of the city, is a cousin.
Funeral Tomorrow.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2:30 p.m., at the M. E. church, the Rev. M. R. Tally officiating, and interment will be made in the Atlantic cemetery.
