PIONEER OF CASS DIES AT ADVANCED AGE, COUNCIL BLUFFS

Mrs. Minerva Riggs, pioneer of Cass county, and well known here to older residents, died at seven o’clock yesterday morning at her home in Council Bluffs at an advanced age, being past eighty years of age. Mrs. Riggs, who formerly lived in Atlantic, was the widow of the late Isaac T. Riggs who died here many years ago. She leaves three daughters, Misses Anna Riggs and Miss Cassie Riggs who lived with their mother at the Bluffs, and Mrs. Ira Day, also of that city. The remains will arrive in the city at 9:15 Wednesday morning being taken directly to the Atlantic cemetery for interment there, with the Rev. H. J. Howard of the local Church of Christ officiating.

During her residence there Mrs. Riggs was active in the local Church of Christ.
