MRS. MAILANDER IS DEAD

PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME NEAR WIOTA

She Was Born in Germany in 1854. Death Yesterday Due to Pneumonia

Last night at 9:30 at her home one mile east and one half mile north of Wiota, occurred the death of Mrs. Helen Mailander. Her death was due to pneumonia, and she was ill but a short time.

Deceased was born in Germany May 1, 1854, make her at the time of her death fifty-four years, nine months and four days, old. She leaves two sons and two daughters to mourn her death. Her husband died about nineteen years ago.

The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a. m. from the Catholic church of Wiota and burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery here.

WELL KNOWN LADY PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Helen Mailander, Widow of the Late Henry Mailander, Passes Away at Her Home North and East Of Wiota.

From Saturday’s Daily

Mrs Helen Mailander, widow of the late Henry Mailander, and one of the best known ladies in the county, died at 9.30 [9:30] last evening at her home, one mile east and a half mile north of Wiota, death resulting from pneumonia from which she had suffered for some two weeks. She was 54 years, 9 months and 4 days old at the time of her death. Her husband, Henry Mailander, died some eighteen years ago and is buried in the Catholic cemetery here. She leaves six children, Mrs. James Morgan of Wiota, Henry Mailander, Wm. Mailander, Peter Mailander, Joseph Mailander and August Mailander, all of this county.

The funeral services are to be held at nine o’clock Monday morning at the Catholic church at Wiota and the interment made in the Catholic cemetery here by the side of her husband.

Deceased was a splendid woman, a kind and loving friend and a good mother and the News extends to the sorrowing ones its heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
