WELL KNOWN MAN DIES AT HIS HOME SATURDAY EVE

Frank M. Limpus, Long Time Resident of State and County, Passes Away at 11:45 That Night.

Frank M. Limpus, a resident of Iowa since 1874 and one of the best known men in this county, died at 11:45 Saturday night at his home, 911 Locust street. Death came after an illness which had extended over thirteen months and during the last few days of which he had been sinking. He was seventy years of age on the 18th of March. Kidney trouble caused his death.

Born in Illinois.

Mr. Limpus was born on the 18th of March; 1853, at Quincy, Ill., and came to Iowa in 1874. On the 15th of September, 1875, he was married to Mary A. Rogers, who died on the 19th of August, 1906. The children who survive this union are Edwin Limpus, Mrs. Sarah Hall and Mrs. Mabel Mendenhall of Des Moines; Mrs. Dolly Berry of Omaha; Mrs. Minnie Salisbury of Sioux City.

Married Again.

On the 10th of September, 1909 deceased was married to Miss Ella Brown who survives him. Mr. Limpus was engaged for a great number of years in farming, retiring a number of years ago and moving to town. The home place, which he farmed for many years, was sold to Steve Davis. He was a good man with a legion of friends.

Funeral Tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the late home, 911 Locust street. The Rev. F. W. Simpson of the M. E. church will officiate. Interment will be in the Atlantic cemetery.
