The remains of the late Jesse Cannon, who died in Colorado, were laid to rest Sunday at the Highland Grove cemetery. The Odd Fellows Lodge, of Adair, of which the deceased had been a member, had charge of the funeral.

Jesse was the son of John Calvin Cannon and Elizabeth Jane Walker, and was born about 1858. No gravestone found in Highland Cemetery during cemetery walks in 2011 & 2012, but presumably Jesse is buried next to his wife, Tina Barton Cannon.
