W. H. Johnson, of Pymosa township, died Wednesday evening from the effects of injuries inflicted by a fractious young horse. On the 26th inst. He was in the animal’s stall, when something occurred to frighten it into making a sudden plunge. His body was forced against the side of the stall with the animal struggling with his whole weight upon him. Mr. Johnson’s injuries were not at once considered dangerous, but his worst hurt was found to be internal after examination by his physician. His sudden death is a sad bereavement to his children, three of whom survive him and who are now fatherless as well as motherless. His wife died several years ago. Mr. Johnson was forty-five years of age and was highly regarded by his neighbors and in fact all who knew him. He was buried in the Marne cemetery at 1 o’clock this afternoon.

NOTE FROM CONTRIBUTOR: William John was born February 3, 1846 and died April 27, 1892
