Mrs. Goodale Dead.

Mrs. F. C. Goodale died about ten o’clock Friday night at the home of her daughter, six miles northwest of Fontanelle after an illness of me [some] duration, chief among her troubles being the breaking up incident to old age.

Deceased was born in Illinois on the 6th of January, 1849, and was married on June 9th, 1804, in Council Bluffs. Up until nine years ago she lived in Pymosa township, then she removed to near Briscoe and from there moved to Bridgewater. Her husband, Jefferson Goodale, died a number of years ago. Will Goodale of this city and George Goodale of near Des Moines are sons. Mrs. Goodale was a good woman and possessed the love and respect of all who knew her. Her death removes another of the pioneers whose numbers are becoming fewer as the years go by.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at two o’clock at the M. E. church in this city, the Rev. Billingsley officiating, and the interment will be in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.

NOTE FROM CONTRIBUTOR: Isabel Goodale was born January 6, 1849 and died September 28, 1906
