Mrs. Mary Crowley [Crolley] died at her home near Wiota and the funeral services were held at eleven o’clock today at the S. S. Peter and Paul Church. She was sixty years of age, leaves four son’s [sons] and three daughters to mourn her departure. Mrs. Crowley [Crolley] and family came to Cass County from Madison County seven years ago.

NOTE FROM CONTRIBUTOR: Margaret (Hughs) Crowley was born about 1836 and died March 26, 1898. Margaret was married to John C. Crolley. In the 1860 Federal Census their last name was listed as Crowley by the census taker. Mary was 24 years of age.
