LONG TIME CASS RESIDENT PASSES AWAY LAST NIGHT

Mrs. Liston Collins, 68 Dies at Family Home Following Extended Illness. Rites Sunday.

Mrs. Amelia Charlotte Collins, 68, a resident of Cass county for nearly sixty years, died last evening at 8:20 at the family home, 401 Oak street. Mrs Collins had been in failing health for a year and a half and bedfast for fifteen weeks.

She was born Feb. 26, 1863, in Davenport, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Trede. She came with her parents to Cass county in 1872, locating in the Pleasant ridge vicinity near Griswold, where they lived until moving to Atlantic in 1879. She was married here in 1884 to Liston Collins, local realtor, who, with two daughters, survives.

The daughters are Mrs. Agnes Peacock and Mrs. Mabel Hedges of this city, and there is also one sister, Mrs. Emma Schuldt, of Atlantic. There are two grandchildren, Mary Jane and Mable Jacqueline Peacock, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Peacock.

Mrs. Collins was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Presbyterian Ladies Aid society.

Funeral Sunday.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon [afternoon] at 2:30 at the Presbyterian church, conducted by the Rev. William Mack.

Burial will be in the Atlantic cemetery.
