DEATH OF DENNIS KELLY
Resident of County Since 1868 Passes Away at Home of Sister-in-law in Five Mile Grove at Nine O’clock Last EveningAt nine o’clock last night, at the home of his sister-in-law, MRS. JOHN KELLY, in Five Mile Grove, DENNIS KELLY, a resident of this county since 1868 and one of the well known men within its borders, passed away. Death was the result of cancer of the stomach, his last illness lasting since Christmas. Deceased was seventy-one years of age. He was born in Ireland and came to this country at the age of ten years with his parents, who settled in Ohio. In 1856 he moved to Lee County, this state, and in 1868 came to this county. He was married in 1881. He is survived by two children, his son, who was at his bedside, at the time he died, and one daughter. His brother JOHN KELLY, died last year.
The funeral services are to be held at ten o’clock tomorrow morning at SS Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church and the interment made in the local Catholic cemetery.
