This was copied from a news clipping - the name of the paper was not given. I suspect is it is either from the Atlantic News Telegraph or the Fontanelle Observer. “Winnie Matthews Jorgensen, daughter of the late William Jackson and Nettie Morgan Matthews, was born December 5, 1891 in Cass County, Iowa and passed away October 18, 1973 in the Cass County Memorial Hospital, Atlantic, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 13 days. Winnie attended public schools and grew to young womanhood in the Cass County area. She was united in marriage to Chris Jorgensen on July 4, 1912 in Corning, Iowa and to this union were born ten children: 5 sons, Neal, Gerald, Ted, Merle, and Wayne; 5 daughters, Roberta, Helen, Agnes, Wilma and Edna Mae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Roberta; one son Wayne, and 3 brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband Chris; 4 sons, Neal of Lisbon, North Dakota; Gerald of Abercrombie, North Dakota; Ted of Bridgewater, Iowa; and Merle of Chula Vista, California. 4 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Hendersen of Mediapolis, Iowa; Mrs. Joe (Agnes) Zimmerline of Adair, Iowa; Mrs. Keith (Wilma) Jameson of Fontanelle, Iowa; and Mrs. Calvin (Edna Mae) Finck of Indianola, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Erma Jorgensen of Stuart, Iowa and Mrs. Leona Donohue of Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Winnie will be missed by her family, relatives and a host of friends. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the Ewing Funeral Home, with Rev. R. V. Vanderhoef officiating. Music was provided by Ruth Means and Muriel Purdy, vocalists, accompanied by Cynthia Campbell, organist. Pall bearers included Kirk Finck, Fred Bakerink, Kevin Zimmerline, Dale Jameson, Tom Jorgensen, and Steven Jorgensen. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lentz and Mr. and Mrs. Don Shannon were in charge of the flowers. Interment was in the Reno Cemetary in Cass County.”
