1960 -- [Transcribed by Larry A. Nelson from Atlantic News-Telegraph clipping] "ANNA CHRISTENSEN DIES SUDDENLY IN CALIFORNIA: Mrs. Anna Christensen, 69, of 411 West Sixth street, died suddenly at 4 o'clock Thursday morning [March 31, 1960] in an Ontario, Calif., hospital. She had been visiting her daughters in California the last month and became ill Monday evening.
She was born in Nørre Sundby, Denmark, Feb. 29, 1892, the daughter of Jens and Louise Hansen and came to the United States when a young woman. She was married to Holger Christensen in Atlantic July 8, 1910. They farmed in the Atlantic vicinity until moving to Atlantic in 1958. Mr. Christensen died April 2, 1958, shortly after moving to Atlantic. Mrs. Christensen attended the Atlantic Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lester Rabe of Griswold, Mrs. Wilbur Lyle of Maywood, Calif., and Mrs. Arnold Nelson of Ontario, Calif.; a son, Frank Christensen of Adair; two sisters living in Denmark and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Hansen.
The remains will be taken to the Roland Funeral Home upon arriving here Saturday midnight. Funeral arrangements are pending."
