WERE QUIETLY MARRIED TODAY

Miss Florence L. Fudge, Daughter of J. O. Fudge and Wife, Surprises Friends by Marriage.

Miss Florence L. Fudge, eldest daughter of J. O. Fudge and wife of 1110 Palm street, stole a march on her friends today by becoming the bride of Roy A. Wright of Stuart. The ceremony was performed about eleven o’clock at the home of Rev. E. W. McDade, district superintendent of the M. E. church for this district and it was the intention of the young people to get away to Omaha on the flyer at 11:10 without letting their friends find out of their wedding. The train was an hour late, however, and the good news soon spread. A number of friends gathered at the depot and gave the young people a good send off, showering them with rice and decorating their baggage.

The parents of the bride were the only witnesses to the ceremony, which was very quiet. After a short visit in Omaha the young people will take up their abode on the groom’s farm near Stuart.

The bride is a well known young lady and has a large number of friends in this city. She is the eldest daughter of J. O. Fudge and wife and has lived in this city for a number of years. She was graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1906 and taught school for a year of two. She has been employed as bookkeeper at the Melcher dry goods store for several years, continuing in that position until recently. The groom is not known to many here, but is said to be a worthy young man. He is the son of Wm. Wright and wife of Stuart and is highly respected in that city and wherever known. This paper joins many friends in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Wright a long and happy wedded life
