At SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic church at two o’clock this afternoon, in the presence of about a hundred invited guests, Miss Margaret Ruane, daughter of Martin Ruane and wife, was united in marriage to Sylvester Malone, son of B. F. Malone and brother of County Treasurer Chas. E. Malone. The Rev. Father Daly of the church said the beautiful and impressive Catholic service. Ray Malone, brother of the groom, was best man and Miss Mary Ruane, sister of the bride, the bridesmaid. Both were exquisitely gowned.
After the ceremony, both this afternoon and this evening a reception is being held at the home of the bride’s parents on south Cedar street. The young people will leave this evening for a wedding trip. They will make their home on the farm three miles east of town where the groom has a home in readiness for his bride. The young people received many beautiful and costly gifts and have the best wishes of a host of friends for their continued happiness. They are estimable young people and deserve the best this old world affords.
NOTE: Photo below is of Sylvester Malone about 1908.
