This certifies that on the 26th day of November, 1870, in Atlantic, in said County, according to law, and by authority, I duly JOINED IN MARRIAGE, Christ Peterson and K. Mary Peterson.

Given under by my hand the 26th day of Nov. A.D. 1870.

NOTE: Christ Peterson (Christen Pedersen) was born Aug. 2, 1844 in Haals, Aalborg, Denmark and immigrated to Atlantic in 1869. His bethroved, Karen Marie (Mary) Pedersen, followed in 1870 and they were married. Mary died in 1872 and Christen later married Mary's sister, Elsie Marie Pedersen. Their shared gravestone may be found on Iowagravestones.org, Atlantic Cemetery.
